Industrial Gas User Workshop ...
Duration: 4 Hours
Employers & employees must meet their obligations in respect of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 Section 2.2: 'provide information, training & supervision to all people who are exposed to risks'
This workshop combines a 3 hour classroom session with 1 hour practical instruction on manual handling & regulator fitting.
Prior to training PGS will ascertain what, where & how gases are used. We will then structure the programme to place emphasis on elements most appropriate to your gas usage.
Classroom Session:
- Gas properties & hazards
- Incident case study
- Cylinders
- Gas equipment - regulators; hoses; flashback arrestors; pipe work
- Emergency procedures
- Transporting gas cylinders
- PPE
- Legislation & Codes of Practice
Practical Session: Delegates will be tutored in:
- Regulator fitting
- Before use checks
- Connection
- Leak checking
- Removal & exchange of cylinders
